Folios 176-177. List of the French officers lately made prisoners by Commander Knowles, who have leave to go to Canterbury [Kent] upon their paroles of honour. Names: Edward Copley; Thomas Betagh; Edmund Butler; John Nugent (Captain); William Cooke; John Nugent (Lieutenant); Patrice Fahy; Daniel Coulahan; Edward Doudall; Charles Nugent; Fergus Offarrell; Daniel Ocalaghan [O'Callaghan]; Richard Morris; Neptune Stapleton; Patrice Darcy; Nicolas Le Blanc; Pierre Jehannot; Jacques Boyellau; Jacques Baitelle. 'N [nota] B [bene] There are 23 servants, not soldiers, belonging to the officers, all born in foreign countries'.
