Folios 164-167. Ann Delafontaine to the Lords of the Regency. Four petitions. The first that her husband has been in Newgate for 22 months and she is 'reduced to the greatest want' and prays that the Lords Justices will take compassion on her and 'condescend to appear in her favour to his Majesty'. The other three pray for a free pardon to be granted to her husband Peter Delafontaine and failing that he either be allowed to quit the country permanently or to serve as a private soldier in the King's army. She mentions Recorder John Stracey, Lord Gage and [Robert] Daniel late secretary of his Majesty [at the Court of Brussels]. The last two petitions are endorsed 'Rejected'.
