Affidavit of John Spencer, Keeper of the Common Jail in the city of Lichfield, on behalf of John Jefferys transferred there from Aylesford, Buckinghamshire to be tried for stealing a mare in Lichfield and whose trial cannot take place until either the King appoints a Town Clerk or a judge of Assize is sent to try the case.
