Part 1, Folios 110-112. From [Colonel] Jno [John] Huske. Place: Knutsford [Cheshire].
That having arrested a man he believes to be [Thomas] Carte who matches his description [given] but who says his name is not Carte but Walley he will, in view of the uncertainty of the man's identity continue to hold him prisoner until he receives positive directions what to do with him. Colonel Huske thinks Walley may have gone by the name of Carte in London and encloses a letter written by [Thomas] Walley detailing his movements during the past five years. A Mr Chumley and a Mr Warren are mentioned. In his letter Walley mentions James Lowe and John Busby.
