Examination of John Steward, clerk to Mr Bampfield, solicitor, of Chancery Lane [London], and nephew to Alexander Steward, a surgeon of Peterborough [Northampton]. It concerns Francis Semple alias Lord Semple, and John Semple, and also mentions: Gregoires Coffee House in Paris [France]; 'one Moody', a Scotch gentleman and former MP [?James Moodie]; Mr Dunbar, a Scotch gentleman, who was courting for a fourth wife. The examination is signed by Charles Delafaye.
