Irish Brigade in the service of Bourbon France. A letter concerning the recruitment in Ireland for the [Jacobite] Irish Regiment, mentioning two Irish gentlemen who were officers in the French service: Sir John Hurley serving in [Marshal] Barwick's [Duke of Berwick, James FitzJames] Regiment, and Bernard O'Calachan [Callaghan] of Dorrinton's now Routh's Regiment. The recruits were transported from Cork [Munster] and Berry Haven [Kerry] to France via Brest and Nantes.
