A letter concerning the British consul in the province of of Biscay [Basque, Spain], and Spanish 'inflexibility'. Braddyll requests an extension of his proconsulship in St [San] Sebastian, which has formally expired on the death of Mr Russell, and lobbies for a 'chief consulage' when one becomes available. A post scriptum is added, relating reports from St Lucar, Seville, that Mr Foulis is seriously ill.
