My Lord Lovat this morning waited upon my Lord Townshend to recommend two persons as bail for Mr [Joseph] Mackintosh now in the messenger's custody (and my Lord Townshend being satisfied with the bail) my Lord Lovat had his service to you and desired me to tell you that my Lord Townshend desired that you should wait on him that he might talk with you anent it'.
