Petition of Sir Patrick Johnston reciting his public services in both the Scottish and British parliaments and his firm adherence to the Crown resulting in attempts on his life and the lives of his family and the loss of a son and praying to be appointed one of the Commissioners of customs or excise in North Britain. He mentions the Duke of Roxburghe, the Earl of Sunderland, Viscount Townshend and the Honorable George Baillie.
