Expressing his views on the proposals regarding the South Sea Company. He refers to Colonel [Henry] Worsley who, he always supposes 'must come hither to have his dispatches and to do a great many things a governor finds necessary'. He asks 'is it not Bauwens who is the hasty judge. We have suffered to the value of some 100 million and yet we have never yet either towards Sweden or Denmark gone to such extremities'.
