Explaining that Mr [George] Treby, Secretary of War, 'out of the regard for the zeal and loyalty shown by her husband in the late [Jacobite] rebellion has procured a halberd for him in the 2nd Regiment of Guards upon payment of ten guineas to the outgoing serjeant for his clothing and humbly begging on behalf of her husband and herself for a contribution towards the balance of five guineas still needed'. Mr Walpole is mentioned.
