A draft acknowledging receipt of the Bishop's letter, and regretting that he cannot attend [the Privy Council meeting], and mentioning: clerical preferments; jurisdiction in the West Indies; the choice of a residentiary of St Paul's, the dean's views about the appointment, and the two candidates Doctor Waterland and Doctor Clegett, the latter man's chances being prejudiced by an association with the late Earl of Sunderland; the Bishop's uneasiness at events in Windsor; the bills for two professorships; the naming of [?King's] scholars; a replacement for the late Bishop of Chichester; a vacancy at Canterbury Christchurch.
