Folios 48-50. From Lord Chief Baron Eyre.
Reporting that although he could not recommend John Speed, who is condemned for horse-stealing, as a proper object of the King's mercy, 'since the poor wretch has received some hopes of life' from the reprieve that has been sent, they should be made effectual by a pardon'.
