A letter [concerning anti-Hanoverian demonstrations on the anniversary of the accession of George I] in Harwich [Essex] advising that Mr [Anthony] Cracherode is of the opinion that the information against Smith [son of justice Smith] is not sufficient to ground a prosecution upon. Lord Townsend thinks the Mayor's [Samuel Lucas's] complaint frivolous, suggesting he is 'more warm then discrete'.
