Folio 112. Stephen Tuckers and John Tuckers, brothers, to the Duke of Newcastle 'his Majesty's first Secretary of State'. Petition that having incurred the King's displeasure by carrying on an illicit trade and have thereby been obliged to leave their native country they pray to be pardoned so that they may return. They say that during 'the late unnatural Rebellion' [the 1745 Jacobite rebellion] they voluntarily took up arms and served under the command of Sir George Oxenden in Kent.
