Description

Folio 105. Ed [Edward] Collingwood, Matth [Matthew] White, Wm [William] Ogle, John Fenwick and Nicho [Nicholas] Fenwick, some of the justices of the Peace for Northumberland, to the Duke of Newcastle that Jane Gordon convicted at Morpeth in 1730 and sentenced to transportation be pardoned and discharged from her imprisonment. At the foot of the page is written that the judge would have reported in their favour 'but the Clerk of Assize is not in town'.
