Petition to the Duke of Newcastle of Tho[mas] Summerhayes, late of Sevil[lle], Merchant, reminding him that he had agreed to appoint the petitioner as Consul in Seville, but that on the breakout of war with Spain, he has had to return to England, He requests that he be appointed Consul as soon as it is possible to return to Spain. 42 signatures supporting the petition including Sam[uel] Willford, Richard George, Joshua Smith.
