Folios 94-95. From Henry Richer. To Charles Delafaye. Place: Norwich [Norfolk].
Letter accusing Richard Berney, Ben Joseph Ellis, Edmund Cocke and Sir Edmund Doyly and others of Norwich of secretly conspiring against the Government and his life and saying that by their use of 'conjurers' 'the Crown and kingdom have been endangered more than by the Pretender James the lll'. He also asks that John Raby of Uphouse at Rainham, Norfolk be informed that he (Richer) is willing to marry Raby's daughter 'at my lord's pleasure and his and his daughter's, Mrs Preestlands, liking and content'. Other names mentioned are William King, Margaret King and John Hovell.
