Deposition of Benj [Benjamin] Bush, doctor or surgeon of the' St Christopher' galley, that on 12 January 1723 [1724] while off the coast of Guinea [West Africa] the captain Robert Elston beat Jos [Joseph] West and Jno [John] Atkinson, two of his crew, from which injuries they later died.
