(1) A reminder of the promise of the King's support of £500 for the work of the S.P.C.K., particularly for the Patriarch of Antioch. Newman had received a letter from Aleppo, that MS copies of letters and the Psalter and New Testament were ready for printing and distribution. Mentions Newman's associate, Mr Shute. (2) A copy in Arabic of the letter to be distributed together with free copies of the Psalter and New Testament to poor Christians in Arabia, Syria, and Palestine, etc.
