The Welsh Therapies Advisory Committee was established in 1974; its function is to advise the Welsh Assembly Government (to which it is an advisory AGSB) on professional therapeutic health issues in Wales in the following therapy services: arts therapies, chiropody and podiatry, dietetics, occupational therapy, orthoptics, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy.
