Folio 169. Major-General Christopher Nugent to the King. Petition that being within the benefit of the [Jacobite] capitulation of Limerick in 1691 he went to France where he has ever since served in the [French King's] army [in the Irish Brigade]; that he has some affairs which require his presence in the King's dominions and therefore prays for a licence under the Privy Seal to enter the country. [Promoted to Major-General of Horse 13 September 1718. Died 4 June 1731].
