Folios 144-145. Memorial of Sir Edward Wortley Montagu, ambassador extraordinary to the Ottoman Empire, to the King, asking for the reimbursement of his extraordinary expenses made during his journey from Vienna to Adrianople [Edirne,Turkey] and his extended stay in Germany. His expenses include chairs, post-horses, baggage carrying, servants' wages, as well as presents to the German and 'Turk' officers who helped him during his journey. [Note Montague was Ambassador between 1716-1718].
