Folio 89. John Kettlewell to the King. Petition praying for a place as one of the King's almsmen at Westminster Abbey having served 21 years in the Royal Navy and been incapacitated by a leg wound at the taking of the 'Superbe' [29 July 1710]. [Kettlewell died 9 April 1757 and was buried in the Dark Cloister, Westminster Abbey that April. According to an order in the Chapter Book he was an almsman whose house was to be repaired 6 March 1730/1].
