Folio 78. Sarah Jones, widow, to Lord Carteret. Petition that having being encouraged by Carteret's promising to help she hopes he will 'put her in the way to maintain her family who is in the greatest want and extremity'. She says she is the daughter of Sir Trever [sic] Williams, Baronet of Llangibbey, Monmouthshire, was first married to Sir Morton Johnson, Baronet and then to Benjamin Jones who died bankrupt leaving her with six children 'and big with two'.
