Folios 65-66. Samuel Jeake of the Royal College of Physicians Extra-Licentiate to the King. Petition that he is the only instance of a physician serving under a commission from the then Lords of the Admiralty with half pay commencing from the time of ceasing to be in actual service and praying that he be granted the same allowance of half pay or superannuation which is allowed all other physicians who have served in the Army or Navy. He refers to his service as physician to the Baltic Fleet under the late Admiral Sir John Norris and that his commission was dated 7 February 1720 which is prior to the date of any other physicians of the Army or Navy.
