Folio 99. Whitmore Conway, eldest son and heir of Edward Conway one of the Chancery Masters, to Henry Pelham First Lord of the Treasury. Petition 'that the said Edward Conway being deficient in his accounts, and standing committed to the prison of the Fleet, for want of paying the balance upon that deficiency, your petitioner in order to do justice to the suitors of the Court, did join in a fine and recovery of his said father's estate, which estate was afterwards sold, and the money arising thereby, applied for the benefit of the said suitors, by which means your petitioner has nothing left to live on, and is totally destitute of all support' and praying to be put on the list for the Royal Bounty.
