Description

Folio 78. Lord Mayor, Aldermen etcetera of the City of London Governors of the hospitals of Christ's and Bridewell and of St Thomas the Apostle in Southwark. (1) Petition of the Governors of the Hospitals of Christ and Bridewell in London and of St Thomas the Apostle in Southwark for the King's licence to purchase and hold land in mortmain for the benefit of Christ's Hospital. Thomas Guy, John West and Frances his wife are mentioned as donors. (2) List of licences in mortmain already granted to Christ's Hospital. [See also SP 36/154/89-90].
