Folio 70. Isaac Casaubon to the Queen [Caroline]. Petition concerning the annual pension of £300 granted by King James l to the 'Reverend and Learned' Isaac Casaubon for life and thereafter to his wife and children and the survivor of them. The petitioner being the only surviving descendant prays that the annual payment be made to him together with the arrears or recompense in lieu. There is a post script in a different hand that the Duke of Newcastle, Lord Hunsdon and Henry Pelham to whom he is related, will certify the truth of the petition. {Note that the petitioner died in 1729].
