Folios 63-65. Petition of Charles Burnett to the Duke of Newcastle, praying to be admitted into some office or place so he can provide for a helpless family. Folio 63 is an addendum to the petition, with some ideas for a position: Deputy King's waiter, Coast waiter, Surveyor of Windows lights or anything either in town or country; folio 64 is the petition; folio 65 is a duplicate of the petition, with a note on the back reading 'my petition delivered to His Grace sometime since was attested by the Honble [Honourable] Thos [Thomas] Hervey and Thos [Thomas] ergison, Esqrs [Esquires], and was delivered by Andrew Stone Esqr [Esquire] for a provision'.
