Folio 55. Petition of Guillaume Brown to the King, asking to be granted the newly vacant position at the 'Removing water' department (changement des eaux), following the death of the previous incumbent Mr Herone. Brown mentions that he met the King [Louis XV] during a hunting trip at Ghorde (Gordes in Provence, southern France?) and that at that time the King told him he would help him find a position.
