'The Collector's place of New Hampshire not being yet disposed of I most earnestly entreat your Lordship's favour in my behalf to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, or that he would be pleased to make me some allowance wherewith to subsist myself and family until provided for'. [If the memorialist is John Bridger Surveyor of the King's woods in America he was recalled in 1720].
