Folios 179-180. Petition of Nicholas Wogan now captain in the Duke of Berwick's Regiment in the French Service for a writ for the reversal of the Royal attainder on him. Having served against the forces of the King's father [George I] in the [Jacobite] 'Preston Rebellion' [of 1715], now wishes to settle in peace in the King's realm. [See SP 36/5/195 - 213]. Also attached (folio 180) 'Memorandum of the Earl of Middleton' desiring the reversal, for the reasons given, of his father's English outlawry made in 1695. [Attorney-General's report on the petition is dated 4 February 1727 see SP 54/18/6C].
