Folio 106. Petition of John Carr for mercy having been capitally convicted [at the Old Bailey] of forging a Letter of Attorney with intent to defraud Messieurs Mason and Company. He mentions Mr Floyd, master of the Three Tuns tavern, one John Hardy, a Mr Macklin and a Mary Harris. Endorsed 'The original left at the Duke of Newcastle's office'. [Old Bailey Online gives the conviction date as 27 February 1751 and the date of the Recorder's report as 5 March 1751. Executed 25 March 1751].
