Description

Captured ship: Rozelaar of Vlissingen, otherwise Rose Tree of Flushing (master Leendert Matthijssen).

History: a Dutch merchant ship, bound from St Kitts (left in December 1664) to Vlissingen, laden with sugar and indigo; taken in early February 1665 by HMS Sorlings (Jonathan Waltham commanding), and brought into Plymouth.

Documents:-

Court Papers: none extant, but an original bundle wrapper indicates that examinations were taken on 15 February 1665.
