Description

Folios 63-64. Petition of John Scot the elder of Colengale, Essex praying that his son John Scott's death sentence for stealing a mare belonging to Thomas Wash be commuted to one of transportation. [Old Bailey Online gives conviction date as 1 July 1741 and reprieve as 30 July 1741].
