Description

Envelope, unmarked, containing three cuttings and four postcards, [illustrations, Highland Railway 4-6-0 'Castle' class locomotives]:

Cuttings, monochrome photographic illustrations:

1) ['Railway and Travel Monthly', January 1912, page 21], front three-quarter view, '6am Helmsdale to Perth Mail Train, with Wick to London fish wagons next engine (Dunvegan Castle) near Killecrankie Tunnel, [photograph] Tom M L Neish'.

2) Unidentified, undated publication, [c 1930], side three-quarter view, 'No. 14686 'Urquhart Castle' at Stirling'.

3) ['The Railway Magazine', May 1914, page 428], front three-quarter view, ''Strathpeffer Spa' express approaching Inverness', [No. 149 'Duncraig Castle'].

Postcards, 9 cm x 14 cm, coloured illustrations [of paintings]:
