Captured ship: St Paul, Isle de Bourbon [cargo of captured East India Company ships Streatham and Europe] (master ).

History: homeward voyage from the East Indies, laden with indigo, piece goods and raw silk; captured 31 May 1809 by a French frigate and taken into Sait Paul's, Isle of Bourbon where cargo landed; the town was taken on 21 September 1809 by HM land and sea forces under the command of Commodore Jonas Rowley and Lieutenant Colonel Keating, when goods taken from the store by the combined forces and laden on board EIC ships Europe and Streatham, following which the Streatham was retaken and brought into the Cape of Good Hope
