Captured ship: San Joze Triunfo brig (master Joze Raposo Ferreira).
Nationality: Portuguese.
History: engaged in the slave trade at Elmina and elsewhere for Bahia, laden with slaves, gunpowder, tobacco, iron bars and dry goods; taken on 27 April 1813 by the privateer Kitty (John Roach commanding), later taken possession of by HMS Thais (Edward Scobell commanding) and brought into Sierra Leone
