Captured ship: San Jose y Carmen otherwise St Josef (master Joseph Miguel Zuaznavar).
Nationality: Spanish.
History: bound from Campehe to Jamaica, laden with dye wood, rice and other 'specie'; taken on 19 March 1799 by HMS Brunswick ([William] Chilcott commanding), and brought into Jamaica
