Captured ship: Monticello (master Arent Schuyler De Peyster).
Nationality: American.
History: bound from Calcutta to New York, laden with sugar, bale goods, goat skins, indigo, silk handkerchiefs, muslins and other goods; taken on 12 November 1812 by HMS Racehorse (James De Rippe commanding), and brought into Table Bay
