Captured ship: Hiram (master John Fiott).
Nationality: American.
History: bound from Cap Francois, Saint Domingue (then under blockade) to Charleston, laden with sugar, coffee etc; taken on 1 December 1803 by HMS Desiree (Henry Bayntun Hodgson Ross commanding), and brought into Jamaica
