Mediterranean Sea: Italy, South-West coast: Sicilia (Sicily): Siracusa (Syracuse). Entitled 'PLAN OF THE CITY AND HARBOUR OF SYRACUSE Situated on eastern Coast of the Kingdom of SICILY'. Chart shows coastline, hydrography, harbours, topography, land use, farms, roads, settlements, buildings including ancient sites, fortifications, land marks, remarks, and explanatory key. Manuscript watermark: 'J Whatman, 1808'. Latitude, longitude and magnetic variation referred to in remarks, North point with 8 point compass indicator.
