North America, East coast of Canada: Newfoundland, East coast: Bonavista Bay. Entitled 'A Survey of Coast of NEWFOUNDLAND from Bonaventure Head to ROCKY BAY'. Includes Hydrographic Office crest and seven views: 1) 'View of Freel's Gull Island'; 2) 'The Stinking Islands'; 3) 'The Offer Gooseberry Island'; 4) 'Appearance of the Land about Barrow Harbour'; 5) 'View of the Land from Young Harry'; 6) 'View of the Land from Old Harry'; 7) 'The Spillers Rocks'. Chart and views show coastline, hydrography, anchorages, harbours, topography, settlements, land marks, sight lines, and remarks including mention of Mr Lane. Watermark: 'J Whatman, 1820'.
