North Atlantic Ocean: Bermuda. Entitled 'The BERMUDAS'. Chart shows coastline, hydrography, anchorages, harbours including St George's Harbour, Castle Harbour, Crow Lane Harbour, Elie Harbour, preferred navigable channels, topography, settlements, buildings, fortifications including West Side Fort, Devonshire Fort, Fort Cunningham, military installations, land marks, and remarks. Colour manuscript. Latitude and longitude referred to in remarks; North point with compass indicator; orientation to the North-West. Scale: 5.9 inches to 6 miles. Attributed stylistically to Andrew F Evans. Endorsed: 'Bermudas' and 'h 2098/21', on verso. Chart shows hospital (built in 1819) and Commissioner's House (built in 1823) on Ireland Island and Admiral's House (given to the Royal Navy in 1814-1816 and renamed Admiralty House in 1822) and received by Hydrographic Office prior to 1826 according to Becher
