Samuel Landon BARRON alias BARONOVITZ: British. A graduate of the London School of Economics and private secretary to a MP, he was reported in 1932 to be providing the Communist Party with political information. Later in the 1930s he was approached by a Soviet intelligence agent who attempted to recruit him; an offer which, after an initial collaboration, he claimed he did not take up. His case was thoroughly investigated and included two interviews with him
