Pieter Gerald Bartolomeus KEUNEMAN. Ceylonese. After Cambridge University where he was an active communist in the 1930s, he worked for a time with KRISHNA MENON in the India League office in London. From 1943 onwards he was leader of the Ceylon Communist Party. In the 1950s he was a member of the World Peace Council and regarded as a significant figure in international communist circles
