Place of accident: Barry No 1 Dock, Glamorgan.
Injury: Leg severely bruised and ankle sprained.
Details of accident: Engaged in forming a sling of pit wood in the No 4 hold of the s/s 'ORION ' and as the injured man and his comrade were picking up a piece of wood with a tomahawks the implement which Stephens was using slipped out and the piece fell across his left leg.
