Folios 97-100. Letter from General Bland to Holderness reporting the arrival in Edinburgh from France of two officers in the service of the French King together with their declarations. One being John, the son of McDonald of Lochgary who is accused of high treason, and the other John Forbes of Skelleter. Having served in Lord Ogilvie's Regiment since 1747, both had come from Holy Island to the Port of Leith to settle family business; both were given bail by the magistrate David Inglis.
