Folios 82-85. Report from Baron Richard Adams to Sir Thomas Robinson, on the case of Michael Jordan, indicted for destroying a 'woollen chain consisting of 40 yards of woollen yarn' and sentenced to death. Also a petition signed by Edward Whelply, master weaver, and inhabitants of Shepton Mallet [Somerset] and Warminster [Wiltshire] pleading that, in view of his youth and the limited damage resulting from his action, his sentence be reduced to transportation.
